Pung-Waan Kwai Noi Resort sits perfectly on the bank of the Kwai Noi River, a tributary of the famed River Kwai. Only 55 kilometres from downtown Kanchanaburi, the resort is located only 190 kilometres from Bangkok. This superb hideaway offers a number of guestroom types in varied natural settings, elaborately designed to bring you closer to nature. All are charmingly decorated with modern Thai décor and private balconies overlooking the serene river as well as lush garden and mountains.
Rabieng Restaurant is an ideal place to dine with appetizing food and cool breeze from the river. Other features include outdoor pool, bicycle track, bamboo rafting, Petanque, wall climbing, table tennis, volleyball court, soccer field, and plenty more.

We nice property located amidst a huge plot of land. The floating houses are unique and the resort offers a lot of activities. We were there only for one night, so no time to really use them all, but recommended

The room is worth paying. I have stayed there for two times. the first time i stayed in the cottage but the second time i stayed in the standard room and found that its the same. only the location of the room is different. besides, the cottage is not very near to the river and actually similar to the standard one around the lake. I think the standard room is cleaner than the cottage. except the service of the F/O , they are not so friendly as they should and the ABF is not very nice. but anyways, the overall is good.

We really liked the hotel atmosphere, which is surrounded by sheer nature especially birds. What really disturbed us was the toilet, which isn´t practical. The bathroom urgently needs to be modernized. Inside the room it was fine, apart from something missing, namely a kettle for having coffee in the morning. When it comes to breakfast, it is just cold and food choices aren´t much offerred. In general, staff isn´t keen to serve or be nice.Without your own transport you cannot do much overhere.

In general the room was fine and very nice, but was in need of maintenance since it was a bit old. The floating house was cool to look and hear the resturant outside. Staff was great and so was the resturant.

very very hard to find, map on hotel site wrong in distance.
when we arrive our room (most expensive room of hotel,village cottage) was near kitchen engines (noise and smell) and it will be very hard for change room with reception.
manager.we pay 600 baths/night for extrabed for a 6 years child instead of hotel and sawadee notice (no charge for a 6 years child).

but sawadee service was good if we don t think about this problem !!!

The hotel has seen its best times and once I can believe it was a great stay. The river and surroundings where great but the rest was rather poor. If you want to stay here you need a car. Dont expect to much and you need to speak Thai because the staff cant speak english

Its a very long trip to get to the resort but its worth it in the end. The atmosphere is nice and relaxing and is a perfect little get away for 2 (leave the kids with the in-laws). The rooms is nice and has a warm feeling and is perfect for a romantic weekend. Activities are available if desired. Decent menu and OK food prices.

ACCOMMODATION
We offer a variety of room types in multiple natural settings, carefully
designed to bring you close to nature as much as possible. All rooms
are styled with modern Thai décor with private balconies which open
to the garden and/or river, as well as some rooms with open-style

A series of inter-connecting rooms, all with private balconies opening towards a lotus pond. All are on the
ground level.
Floating House -
Various sizes of floating houses in the Kwai Noi River,
accommodating up to 6 persons, are available for your
choice. All have private balconies opening to the river,
and are equipped with an en-suite bathroom with hot &
cold showers, air-conditioning and other amenities for
the residential comfort of home.
Superior Room (River View)
Two-storey building right on the bank of the Kwai Noi
River, allowing you to relax with running river as
background and to enjoy the river view all day long.
Deluxe Cottage (Mountain and River View)
Single- and double-bedroom cottages made with native
wood, and equipped with private balconies opening
towards gardens and the Kwai Noi River. Each cottage has
an en-suite bathroom offering both enclosed and
open-style showers.

This is our main restaurant serving Thai &
International breakfast, lunch & dinner in open
atmosphere. The dining tables are set on the cascades of
wooden balconies, allowing you to dine under the star
along with the cool breezes from the river. Opening hours: 06.00-23.00 hrs
"Chun-Pa" Pool side bar
Idyllic relaxation spot where you can
enjoy cool drinks & snacks by the pool side with
panoramic mountain views as your background. Opening hours: 14.00-18.00 hrs.
The Lobby Bar
An informal rendezvous place for a get-together with
friends or just for relaxing by yourself while sipping
delicious drinks before or after dinner. Enjoy live
music from our quality singer/musician, whose music
repertoires include both Thai and International songs,
ranging from Pop, Folk to Dance Music. Opening hours: 18.00-22.00. Live music starts at 19.00 hrs.
