Chaloklum Bay Resort the main northern village of Chaloklum is expanding to cater for more than just the fishing trade that its well knows for. It is still mainly a Thai village that hasn't yet been over-effected by tourism and there is a wealth of cheap Thai restaurants serving tasty fresh squid and other local catches. There is a wide variety of bungalows and villas to choose from - the most recent addition being the Garden Villa range which offer comfort and luxury from elevated positions in the sunny gardens of Chaloklum Bay Resort. The swimming pool is one of the largest in Chalok Lam Bay and the beachfront cocktail bar in high and peak seasons allows guests a fantastic place to watch the sunset.
Accommodation and facilities:
I and my fiancee reached this resort late at night to be told that they had give away our room to other guests. With it being NYE there were no other rooms available. This nearly ruined my NYE and Chaloklum Bay s suggestion was that we try and find a room somewhere else or stay in one of their staff rooms, which were awful! Luckily Sawadee.com found us a nicer, cheaper and better placed accommodation (Phuwadee) in Thong Nai Pan. Every cloud has a silver lining.
Reservation service:
Sawadee were very helpful and provided a great service.

We were very disappointed from the place, the room that we head wad with very small, hot water was only for one shower in a day, after that there was no hot water during the whole day, the pool is nice and the beach is quite, the restaurant was nice, not more than that. They don’t have a car rent, only bike rent with overused tires (very very dangerous for driving) the only good thing beside the pool and the quite beach was amazing masseur that works there. Try to avoided unless you’re looking for a good massage.

I don t recommend this hotel. The service is awful, bongalow interior is poor. They clean our room only when I asked to do it. They took 4 towels, but brought only 3, one of which was with a big hole and so on. The manager said: we have many guests now (!). The restaurant is so so, the food is very salt and there are no any fresh fish or seafood (despite its location on a beach). We stayed here in family bongalow only 3 days, then mooved to Ko Samui.
Reservation service:
Booking is OK, but you shouid remember that they don t return money if you want to check out earlier.

Accommodation and facilities:
This was a very peaceful resort and village. There is little tourist influence and the village is a lovely fishing port with few tourist shops. There are some very good restaurants but remember your torch for this resort. The garden view bungalows are very well decorated and comfortable and the newest. The pool is lovely and the new terrace they were building will be great (due to be finished by end of July as at present it is a bit noisy with construction work).
Reservation service:
Very fast and efficient

Accommodation and facilities:
This resort is very nicely situated on the North coast of Pahngan island.
It is a little far from Tongsala and Haad Rin if you wish to visit these regularly, but is nicely tucked away in a quite part of the island.
The rooms were quite expensive imo for the size and content of them, however we booked in the knowledge it was quite an expensive resort as we wanted somewhere nice to stay for Christmas.
Friendly staff, rooms were nice, right close to the beach, and the resort has a lovely beach front swimming pool.
about 1km to nearest 7-11
about 20 minute on motorbike to Tongsala
and about 45 minutes taxi/motorbike to Haad rin.
overall 8/10 for this resort, and i ve stayed in quite an array in this part of the world.
Reservation service:
easy, good communication, would recommend 100%.
No problems throughout the whole process.
