This resort could be 5 star if they could be bothered to do anything with it. We stayed in a 2 bedroom villa with priavte pool, it was big and nice but old and needs some major work done. They were rust rods inthe showers which have only Luke warm water in them, so if you like a hot shower do not stay here. Breakfast might as well be non existent, it was cold and not nice at all. The free shuttle to lami only goes every 2 hrs Wich leaves you stranded as this resort is in the middle of no where. The staff are unfriendly and cAnt be bothered to do anything they don t even smile. They also pretend not to speak English and half the time were asleep. They give you have price entry into the zoo which is still very expensive fir what it is. The zoo it s self needs to be shut down the animals livin conditions are not up to scratch and makes you want to be sick. The 3 pools are big but quite unusable they still need alot of work and don t be sucked in by the pool bar as it doesn t exist. The resort is poorly lite so you will need a tourch to find your way around. The restraint also closes when the staff feel like they also dont cook unless they can be bothered so don t expect to be able to get food here. Our bed linen was exstemley dirty and wAs never change the airconditioner also leaked reception was sending someone to fix it but they never came. The beach is picturpretty but you can t swim in it due to he wind surfers and all the coral. Would not stay here ever And would not recommend to anyone.

жили в стандартном номере на 1 этаже трехэтажного корпуса,терраса с выходом прямо на бассейн,1800батт в сутки.номера старые,полностью отсутствует влажная уборка,только подметание.территория отеля грязноватая завтраки очень плохие(тосты,масло,джем,кофе,чай,мюсли,-яйца жарят не понятно как,2 дня вообще не знали что есть яйца,завтрак стоит 200 бат на чел в сутки.)единственный плюс - 2 бассейна (правда тоже не очень чистые),неплохое море с пляжем.(море мелкое,сильные отливы),на территории находится местный зоопарк и океанариум,проживающим в отеле скидка на билеты 50%.вообщем считает за такие деньги можно найти куда лучше отель,даже в высокий сезон.

Very quiet and nice hotel, ideal for those people who want to relax, and enjoy a beautiful beach( only from 2 o clock in the afternoon because the water ist away (200m) before, but when there is water you have the whole beach alone , fantastic. The bungalows itself are nice and have a good standard, not like in a five star hotel but remeber you are not in europe, we had the bungalow in front of the sea with a 180 view (fantastic). The zoo show is also good, especially for kids

Beautiful! Villa at the beach with private pool. Restaurant for lunch is ok! Nice view from villa in greater swimmingpool. I can recomend this resort. Resort taxi can pick you up until 22:00 from lamai beach.

Lovely Resort, right on the beach. Very quiet.Friendly staff. Although there is some new accommadation here,some of the resort is a looking little tired. Would still reccommend for the location and peacefullness

I stayed with my husband and three children (7 to 12 years old) in the deluxe bungalow, 2 bedrooms and private pool for 10 nights over the chritmas holidays. It was a great value package, as breakfast was included and there was no compulsory Gala dinner for Christmas Eve and New Year s Eve (I checked a few other resorts, they all had very expensive dinners, which I thought was not fair!). The accomodation was FANTASTIC: a few steps away from a nice peaceful beach, a good size very clean private pool, a large terrasse in the shade and 2 large rooms with connecting doors, efficient and quiet aircon, nice size bathroom with hotwater. Clean and confortable, could not ask for more! The staff was very friendly, always ready to help, with a smile. Cleaning was done every day, new sheets and towels daily also. Breakfast on a terrasse near the beach was american style buffet, nice! For lunch, you could have lots of different snacks at the beach café, again friendly staff, good food and reasonnable prices. 2 huge pools, clean and deep enough for diving. A massage place on the beach with a friendly lady. For diner, there are no restaurants on the hotel ground, but you only need to walk a few minutes out of the resort to find at least 2 good restaurants, I would particularly recommend Simple Life , run by a Thai old couple: food is excellent, prices low ( around 800 bath for 5 people, all included) and you really feel at home. The hotel taxi also took us to 2 different resorts nearby (3 minutes drive) where you can enjoy bar, restaurant and beach. So no worry for diners either. There are lots of animals on the hotel grounds: birds, tigers (including babies!) and a large aquarium. Through the hotel reception, we booked daily trips to Koh Tao and Koh Tan for snorkling, taxis to other places on the island and other services. It was always as planned, on time and no hussle at all. If you want to be away from the too busy, too crowded areas of Chaweng and Lamai beach, this is the place to go to. This trip to Orchid Resort was a total success. Hope you can enjoy it too!

We had 5 good days at Samui Orchid Resort. Nice and clean rooms, but linnen could have been changed! Fine and long beach, clean in front off the resort, only few resorts along the beach, and a good walk by the beach to the muslim fisher-village. Good beach if you like kite-boarding, and the wind is right. But no restaurant in the evening, but free shuttle to Lamai running the day, last trip back at 20.15 is too early - Remember to tell the reception if you want to use the shuttle from Lamai to resort. Zoo and aquarium is ok, but do not choose the resort because of that.

We stayed here for 4 nights, we had 2 adjoining bungalows with our own plunge pool and after being in bangkok for 5 nights it was a good place to unwind before moving on to our final destination. We chose this resort as my daughter wanted to visit the zoo & aquarium and swim with the sea lions. She had a wonderful experience with the sea lions but in the aquarium we were distressed at how small the tanks were, especially for the larger fish. We are also concerned about the Bengal tigers and leopard show. As the tigers are now at threat from extinction, perhaps it is time that a new home can be found for them so they can be spared from performing circus tricks. This resort is very quiet & peaceful and is ideal if you just need to recharge your batteries for a few days. It has a lovely long beach, a perfect beach if you are into kite boarding but not so good for swimming! The two good size swimming pools, with plenty of sun beds made up for this. The staff were all very friendly and Jess on reception always went beyond her duties to help you. Something that needs to be taken in to consideration when booking this resort is that it is a little remote and as the beach bar/resturant closes at 1800 if you want to have a meal or a drink you needed to make your way into nearby Lamai. The resort offered a free shuttle to Lamai at certain times of the day but its last trip back at 2015 is to early.

We stayed in a 2 bed deluxe with our own pool. The rooms were very nice, although the bed was a bit hard. The staff were very friendly and accomodating. The animals were lovely and seemed in good health and well cared for. We especially enjoyed seeing the baby leopard and being able to pet it. Although it is a bit of a way from the towns, (there is a free taxi service to Lamai) if you want a quiet, relaxing time I would definately reccomend the Samui Orchid Resort. We had a fantastic time!!

I stayed here with my 3yo daughter, which was ideal for a number of reasons, being right on the beach, with a zoo and aquarium onsite (free entry for guests) and two fantastic pools. Staff were friendly and efficient. Only downside was being some way from the central area of Lamai beach, but there is a shuttle run by the staff which was adequate. The rooms were spacious, comfortable and clean, good value. There is a superb genuine Thai restaurant called M Best Friend down the road and staff will drop you there and pick you up - the BEST Thai food I had all trip.
