Second time at this hotel in the thai suite. Family stayed in another of this kind of rooms. We liked the privacy we had and the places outside to relax in sunbeds after the days at beach. You will have the Bangkok Post and tea delivered every day. Thai suite nr 718 has a jacuzzi in bathroom but when it rains it comes in a little water at the floor in the bathroom. Reataurant a little expensive but opposite the hotel we found our favourite; The Orchid restaurant that have one of the most tastly thaifood we ever had in our trips to Thailand. The massages that are offered we only had once because we liked better Lien at the beach just at right side of the hotel. We love to come back next year because we like Choeng Mon Beach. Calm and relaxing place 10 minutes from Chaweng if you like to go there. Most of the times we went there we payed 300 TBH one way for 4 persons. Friendly staff, clean rooms and a lovely garden!

Nice jungle hotel big rooms, no balcony, very helpful staff, the best beach in Koh Samui, Airport transfers included, but not tranfers from ferry pier????? its closer. the food is a little expensive compare to other resturants near by.

The White House is a very nice place to stay with a family. I would rate it 3 ½ Star. It was probably 4 Star 10 years ago, but has not had any work done in that time. Tired. However the Staff are all extremely pleasant and helpful. Special recognition should go to Om (Reception),Toey(Porter/Driver) and the breakfast staff (Pregnant girl and Chef especially). The location is great, the breakfast food is good. We only ate in the resort once in the evening. Generally we went to “The Orchard” across the road each night.
The only real negatives or warnings I would point out to future guests are:
1, The Thai Suites are really quite tired, with allot of damp and very loud creaky floor boards and doors. This will not work for anyone travelling with a baby or small kids that need to go to bed early or wake up easily. We spent 1 night and switched to 2 deluxe rooms with a conjoining door, far better and only a little more expensive.
2. Sun loungers on the beach. Because the hotel attracts a mainly continental European guest type, you should already expect stiff competition for sun beds on the beach, but here it is really bad because rather than getting their butts up early and going down for an early breakfast and to put towels on the beds themselves, they call the restaurant staff and Pre-book certain beds! This is shocking behaviour and very selfish, so just be prepared to join in the selfish action or get up very early. It was not an issue for us as we were up early with a 1 year old every day so always got 2 beds, but it was really bad for people that turned up at 9am only to find towels on the back of every single bed and then the “Owners” of these beds turn up at like 10:30. The White House should not allow this, but I cannot see it changing.
Overall I would recommend The White House to friends and I would go back, not I know the right way to utilise it. Have a nice stay.

Очень много зелени. Настоящие джунгли. Утром птицы поют. Чистый ухоженный пляж. Белый песок. Лежаки из тика. Море без камней. Небольшой но всегда чистый бассейн. Все постройки в тайском стиле. Как снаружи, так и внутри. Подкачал санузел - скромная сантехника и плитка. Из-за ливней в ноябре - номер не успел просохнуть и несколько дней чувствовался запах плесени. Персонал очень старательный и приветливый. Смена белья через день. Завтрак достаточно обильный, но так как отель небольшой - блюда менялись редко. Хотя все было на хорошем уровне. Вечером достойное тайское и европейское иеню (лучше чем в уличных кафе). В целом отель на твердую троечку.

First off, before you read the commetns below, we really liked this hotel and will return.
Negatives:
1. There is no shower in the room - just a bath, so you ve got to sit down to take a shower.
2. There is very limited on site parking.
3. The TV is useless - half the channels don t work and those that do there was only 1 or 2 english speaking ones.
4. In places, the hotel is a little tired .
5. During our stay, there was a leak in the roof which affect the room above us. The repair works started at 8am and went on for a couple of days - lots of noise and no explanation or apology from the hotel.
Positives:
1. The rooms are nice and big and the beds comfy.
2. The staff, generally, are really nice.
3. Good secure hotel if you have small kids - impossible for them to wonder off.
4. Pool is nice.
5. Beach here is great (always has been).
All round, an enjoyable stay and ideal if you are looking for a realtively peaceful beach with no loud music and 20 somethings making alot of noise. However, if you want the night life you ve gotta get a cab to/from Chaweng (10 mins and 300 Baht)..... which is not a big deal really.

Chomdean & Cham Dao Thai Suite:
Chomdao and Chomduean, simply translated mean Looking for the Stars and Looking
for the Moon. These two magnificent Thai Suites are steeped in history,
culture and custom. Just spending a few nights in this unique, beautifully
restored, Ayutthayan Style Thai house will give you an insight into
the true meaning of Thai tradition and culture.
The Chomdao and Chomduean Thai Suites each have a separate bedroom
and living room. In the living room, an outsized abstract painting in
red and gold contrasts beautifully with the dark teak walls, tastefully
illuminated by carefully positioned wall and floor lamps. A foulard
with ancient pictorial art decorates the bedrooms teak-wood walls. The
antique tester-bed was previously displayed at the Bang-Pa-In
Royal Palace, in the former Thai capital of Ayutthaya.
The bathroom is tiled in sandstone with a specially designed salty
egg shaped hand basin. The paintings on the bathroom doors are done
by a local artist from Maenam in the Ayutthayan period style and are
perfect examples of traditional Thai artistry. The detail shown represents
a stalk of rice as well as various animals, symbolizing the abundance
of nature in Thailand.
A sliding glass door in combination with
a large terrace provides ventilation and offers relief from the hot
and humid climate.

Our renowned restaurant, Ruean Sai Lom is idyllically placed between the classically designed swimming pool, lined with terra-cotta friezes and the magnificent Choengmon Beach. Impeccable design combined with luxurious use of flowers, fabrics and
stone do make you feel like a president.
The tables are sectioned off from one other by the clever use of
drapes and hangings, making it feel like an extremely private affair.
And although up-market, there is no dress code. At one table you'll
find shorts and T-shirts worn by a honeymooning couple, while at the
next there'll be a group of executives in tuxedos, creating a friendly,
Bohemian ambience.
SPA SERVICES
After a tiring day out in the sun why not pamper yourself

Choeng Mon Beach:
Choengmon Beach is peaceful, romantic
and clean, making it a delightful escape from the wearisome hustle and
bustle of daily life. As it is not the at the center of any village
or community, this tranquil and calm beach is the preferred spot for
couples or families seeking peace and privacy. The sparkling, azure
waters of Choengmon Bay are also relatively shallow, allowing kids of
all ages to enjoy the waters in safety.
Choengmon Beach lies
on the North East coast of Koh Samui, near Big Buddha Beach and around
4 kilometers north of Chaweng.
Library and :
In our air-conditioned
library, located next to the Lobby Patio, you can find a wide choice
of English, German, French, Italian, Duch and Japanese books. We also
stock the two national English Language Newspapers, The and The Nation
, and for our our German speaking guests, there are the weekly Bild
am Sonntag, Weltwoche and Tages Anzeiger Our internet station is available
free of charge to guests 24 hours a day.
Pool:
Our freshwater swimming pool is located
next to the Ruean Sai Lom Restaurant and just 20 metres from the beach.
The swimming pool is 13 m long and 7 m wide and has several access points.
The deeper end of the pool is 2 m for better swimmers, while the shallow
end is just 1 m deep, ideal for children and non-swimmers. Circled around
the pool you will find cushioned sun loungers for to laze the day away.
Beach towels are available in your bathroom and can be taken to the
swimming pool or to the beach.
