The hotel is in a bad shape but clean. The relatively high price is only justified in the view of the bay and not in service or comfort. The restaurant is nothing special. We stayed at the hotel during New Years Eve and the compulsory Galla Diner was surely not worth the THB 2,000 they charged per person. Will not stay there again.
Booking was perfect but we are disapointed by the after sales service.

This was a very good resort, we got more than we expected. Nice and clean bungalows. The only bad thing is that the staff were very bad in english. They hardly understood any of our questions.

This was our second stay at the Bayview, a whole 8 nights, and we enjoyed it even more than the last time. We got into a very pleasant daily routine of a morning session at the little private beach at the resort, lunch at one of the nearby restaurants on the way to town (there s a very cheap good basic food outlet at the Andaman resort), followed by lots of relaxing on our veranda or perhaps by the pool before dinner. We were impressed to see many of the staff still there - a good sign. They were wonderful to us and we felt we became good friends with some of them - a special mention to the water-taxi men, the massage ladies and the restaurant staff. We were very lucky to be there when the annual staff party was on - a full day of team beach sports, then a party on the pavillion above the restaurant. A hotel that does that for their staff has to be good. The location of the hotel is brilliant - far enough out of town to be quiet (well, you could still hear the music from the Carpe Diem bar every night but you got used to that), but close enough to walk to the shops in 10 minutes. And the grounds are gorgeous. We will definitely be back.
Great as ever. Quick to respond with answers to questions and worked like a dream.

The rooms were very nice and a ten minute walk from the action and night life. service is a bit slow but apart from that I would recommend anyone to stay here.

Good view, nice rooms and beach.
BUT --
1. STAFF NOT TOO FRIENDLY,
You have to climb a lot in order to reach your room, and its hot there.
3. Worst of all - you have to check out till 11 AM, altough ferries to Puket/Krabi Raily are 1400-1530.
Even if you arrive around 1500 - 1600 by the phuket ferry
1 more hour - 400 bt, more than that - N/A
So you are stuck!

stay awawy from it!!!!!! its all a one big fake!!
we ordered 2 nights in this place, and even pay extra money for the Deluxe Villa . when we arrived we got a vary old and dirty room, with dirty sheets and very dirty toilet.even the door was broken.
when we try to speek with the manager she tald us that it our problem becouse we booked the cheep room !!!!
we left to other hotel, with no refund.
we couldnt stay there even one more minute!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My wife and I stayed 6 nights at Bayview. We loved our time there. The setting is great, on the beach and just far enough out of town to be a bit more private and quiet. The breakfast was wonderful. The staff were helpful.
The only negative is that the resort should try to get the bars down the beach to turn down the music volume after midnight or so as they are excessively loud.
Booking was easy and service was good.

At first this hotel was a real disappointment, as it was very far to walk and very steep. Nothing for kids or disabled people. But then we noticed the private beaches, the nice pool, the friendly staff and the great breakfast, so we stayed for a week with our two kids! This hotel had very nice bungalows and it was a cosy location. So in the end it was worth the walk, but do bring mosquito repellent and if you have a problem with walking choose another resort...

this was a fantastic resort. located in the heart of everything yet far away enough to enjoy the seclusion of it all. I would HIGHLY recommend this place for those who want to stay in a 5 star resort and pay 2 star prices. thank you Bay view!!

We stayed at Bay View Resort for 4 nights in August 2008. We booked a Deluxe Bungalow and it was very nice. Clean, comfortable bed, nice shower, a wonderful porche facing the sea,...
Although most of the staff were very polite and helpful, the management people were not as nice. I guess there are used to having the place fully booked and think they do not need to be polite anymore.
